The meat we bought was used to make EatingWell's Herb-Coated Fillet Mignon, only we used center-cut sirloin instead. We actually prefer the sirloin to the fillet mignon for this recipe. It turned out really tender and if I didn't know any better, I'd think it was fillet mignon anyhow.

Ever since we watched Food Inc., we've been buying our meat at WholeFoods. One particular cut we buy a lot is the Top Sirloin Center Steak for only $4.99 a piece.

By the way, there's a misprint in the article. It only took 12 weeks to lose 14 pounds, not 16 weeks. (90 days is 12 weeks.) Since the article, I've lost another 8 pounds!

We've been to Sushi Zushi a few times now and hadn't yet taken Gaetano. My son has been eating sushi since age 3 and loves a good spicy roll. He's been really good lately so we treated him to Sushi Zushi.

- It's a Coconut Lime kind of Father's Day

For Father's Day we had a full table, with Dan's parents, my parents, Dan's brother and his girlfriend, my ex-husband and his fiancé with their daughter, and our friend Jason and of course me, Dan and Gaetano. We all squeezed around the dining room table for some grilled chicken and beef skewers that were marinated in my Coconut Lime Marinade.

My son, Gaetano, had chicken taquitos; I think they were the same as the Flautitas de Pollo (Traditional chicken flautas served with a mild spicy sauce and sour cream) on the adult menu. He was full after one, so he took the other home and had it for dinner. Gaetano was particularly impressed by the paprika shaped moon, "Look mom, it's their logo!"

It was at the register that I noticed it was only 280 calories for what looked like a decent size salad and 150 calories for a frozen strawberry lemonade.
